Sam L. Buracker III is the Owner of Malone Environments, where he is hands-on in every aspect of the business. His role varies from day to day– one moment he’s collaborating on sales calls with the team, and the next, he’s unloading trucks or coordinating installations. Sam joined Malone Environments in 1993, initially working in furniture installation before transitioning to project management. Over the years, he has grown the office furniture division from its early days into the cornerstone of the company.
A Columbus, GA native, Sam is deeply rooted in the community. His father, a Columbus local, acquired Malone Environments in 1967 from the original founder, Mr. Malone, and Sam joined him after three years of working at Synovus. With a strong sense of family legacy, he now leads Malone Environments, embodying the dedication that his father instilled and takes pride in providing businesses and organizations with the necessary supplies and furnishings that keep them running.
Sam’s favorite projects reflect both personal and professional milestones. The 2013 City Services Center project was a landmark win for Malone Environments, marking their emergence as a major competitor in the region’s office furniture market. Another cherished project is the Tysys C-2 campus. Although Malone Environments had originally handled all of Tysys’ furniture needs, they lost the account in 1998. Winning back the Tsys C-2 campus project felt especially meaningful—a testament to Malone’s resilience and Sam’s commitment to re-establishing valued client relationships in the Columbus community and beyond.

Another standout project was the Piedmont Children’s Tower, where she enjoyed selecting vibrant, kid-friendly furniture to create a cheerful environment for young patients during challenging times. These projects, and her dedication to detail, highlight her passion for creating spaces that serve the community and bring joy to those who use them.
